About us
ClearNord
ClearNord is a Norwegian consulting and implementation company focusing on AI governance, regulatory compliance, linguistic accessibility, and audit-ready communication processes. We assist document and communication-intensive organizations with external operations in planning, managing, and documenting the responsible use of artificial intelligence. Simultaneously, we enhance multilingual communication through human quality assurance, terminology control, and practical process design.
Our services are particularly relevant for municipalities, directorates, public institutions, regulated businesses, and service providers who need better control over AI tools, documents, sensitive information, public communications, and legally mandated language obligations.

What we do
Practical assistance for AI governance and public communication
Businesses are experiencing increasing pressure to adopt artificial intelligence responsibly, protect sensitive information, communicate clearly, and document how decisions are made. ClearNord helps businesses transition from informal AI use, fragmented documentation processes, and inconsistent multilingual communication to controlled, quality-assured, and compliant operations.
Our work includes:
Maturity Analysis and Status Review for AI Governance
Implementation Planning for Responsible AI
Mapping of use cases and risks of using AI
Modernity analysis for linguistic compliance
Designing Workflows for Multilingual Communication
Translation operations pilot projects
Human quality-assured translation
Terminology and Glossary Control
Quality Assurance and Human Oversight Models
Assistance with selecting tools and suppliers
Revision-ready documentation
Our long-term roadmap is to develop an audit-ready multilingual compliance infrastructure for public sector and regulated organizations. But our work starts with the practical problems organizations face today: chaotic AI use, lack of document control, inconsistent communication, risks associated with sensitive data, and workflows that are difficult to document.
From Minnesota to Norway
Built on a proven operating model for the public sector
ClearNord was shaped by the experiences of translationntoret (Enterprise Translations Ooffice) in destatein MinnesotaA.
Before ClearNord, Adam Taha established and led the Translation Office (ETO) – a centralized public translation program that served over 25 government agencies and 50,000 public employees.
ETO used human-powered, AI-assisted workflows to improve translation speed, quality, consistency, and cost control in public communications. The operating model generated an estimated $3.8 million in value over the first two fiscal years. The model was highlighted by OpenAI in a case study and subsequently cited as a public sector use case in the ChatGPT Gov launch.
This experience highlighted a simple truth: better language accessibility is not achieved through technology alone. It requires the right operating model.
ClearNord brings this operational discipline to Norway – adapted to the needs of the Norwegian public sector: Communication that adheres to the Language Act, GDPR-secure workflows, human quality assurance, guidelines for AI translation, terminology control, and multilingual operations that meet all requirements for audit and documentation.
Summary of the effect at ETO
Weeks to hours
The translation workflows were redesigned to ensure faster delivery. Some translations were completed and returned within a few hours.
An efficiency model
A team of six linguists delivered services at scale to over 50,000 employees across hundreds of departments in more than 25 agencies.
Mentioned by OpenAI
ETO was highlighted by OpenAI and later mentioned as a public sector use case in the ChatGPT Gov launch.

Our societal mission
We will help businesses adopt artificial intelligence responsibly and communicate across languages with greater clarity, security, and accountability.
We achieve this through practical consulting services, support for AI governance, compliance maturity analyses, implementation planning, human quality-assured translation, terminology control, and audit-ready documentation.
Our vision
An outgoing service offering where AI-supported communication is well-managed, human-anchored, multilingual, and safe for the citizens it serves.
Over time, ClearNord aims to help build an audit-ready multilingual infrastructure for compliance. This is tailored for organizations that need stronger control over AI usage, documents, data management, communication quality, and public trust.
Our leadership

Adam Taha
Adam established and led the state of Minnesota's Enterprise Translations Office – a centralized public translation program serving over 25 state agencies and 50,000 public employees.
Here, he developed human-managed, AI-assisted workflows that improved the speed, quality, consistency, and cost control of public communication translations. The operating model was highlighted by OpenAI and later mentioned as a public sector use case in the ChatGPT Gov launch.
Before his work in Minnesota, Adam spent over 16 years in the U.S. federal government in various roles related to multilingual operations, language compliance, risk management, and regulated public sector programs. He holds an MBA and master's degrees (MPS) from Penn State University.

Elias Gobdoon
Elias brings extensive frontline experience from the public sector and deep multicultural insight to ClearNord, supporting the goal of building reliable, multilingual AI systems. With a background in child welfare, environmental therapy, and complex cross-cultural support work, he has firsthand experience with how language barriers, unclear communication, and complex systems impact people's lives.
At ClearNord, Elias works with strategy, quality assurance, and service development, where he contributes to designing AI-driven solutions that improve accessibility, clarity, and trust in multilingual environments. His work is underpinned by a strong conviction that language technology should not only be intelligent but also understandable, responsible, and human-centered.
Our values
What drives our work
Responsible AI
Artificial intelligence can improve speed and continuity, but its use must be managed. We help companies define what AI can be used for, what requires human judgment, what should be limited, and how decisions should be documented.
Human responsibility
Technology can support the workflow, but humans retain responsibility for judgment, quality, context, and sensitive decisions. ClearNord's approach places human control and accountability at the center.
Linguistic accessibility
Public information must be understandable to those who need it. Linguistic accessibility is a prerequisite for transparency and insight in the public sector, and multilingual communication should be planned, quality assured, and managed with care.
Privacy and Trust
AI and communication workflows must protect personal data, define approved tool use, and document how data is handled. Trust depends on control, not just speed.
Practical innovation
We focus on improvements that can be tested, measured, and controlled. The goal is not to over-engineer the technology before the work processes are clear, but to make the actual operations safer, clearer, and more responsible.
